Norfolk Southern Headquarters

Norfolk Southern’s new headquarters in Midtown Atlanta, known as “Project Fusion,” is a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. Situated in the heart of Tech Square, the 750,000-square-foot campus features two glass towers connected by a campus-style hub and offers employees a range of amenities, including a 24/7 fitness center, on-site daycare, and a restaurant-style food hall. Built to LEED Gold standards and incorporating advanced technology such as touchless systems and hospital-grade air filtration, construction on the headquarters began in 2019 and it officially opened in November 2021. The building reinforces Norfolk Southern’s historic ties to Atlanta, dating back to the mid-1840s, while showcasing its vision for a technology-driven future in rail transportation.

Directions from Renaissance Midtown Atlanta Hotel to Norfolk Southern HQ

The Norfolk Southern Headquarters is just a short distance away from the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel. Walking distance is approximately 0.5 miles and takes around 10 minutes. Alternatively, a quick drive or rideshare service will get you there in under 5 minutes.

Transportation Options

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Pickup is available at designated areas in the North and South Economy Lots.
Estimated travel time to the Renaissance Midtown Atlanta hotel is approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions (ATL Airport Hub).
Taxi: Fixed fare of $32 to Midtown Atlanta.
Estimated travel time is about 30 minutes.
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority): Take the Red Line or Gold Line from the airport station. ($2.50 one-way)
Travel time to Midtown station (closest to the hotel) is about 30 minutes.
Travel time to North Avenue station (closest to Norfolk Southern HQ) is about 22 minutes.

Atlanta Amtrak Station

Crescent Route: The Amtrak Crescent route runs daily between New York City and New Orleans, stopping in Atlanta. It provides connections to major cities in the Southeast and is a convenient option for long-distance rail travelers (Amtrak Crescent Route).
Taxi/Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): The station is approximately a 10-minute taxi or rideshare ride to the Renaissance Midtown Atlanta hotel (Amtrak Atlanta Station).
